This Fourth of July, law enforcement personnel in Rockwell are teaming up with NCGHSP to share the message about the dangers of drunk driving during this year’s Operation Firecracker Booze It & Lose It campaign.
Drivers are encouraged to write the message #KeysFreeNC in window chalk on their vehicles to help encourage fellow North Carolinians to leave the keys behind if they are going to be drinking over the 4th of July holiday. Drivers will see increased law enforcement officers everywhere.
This Independence Day, let’s all work together in Rockwell to spread the lifesaving message that drunk driving is unacceptable, deadly, and illegal behavior. As you, your friends, and your family head out to the July 4th festivities this summer, keep safety in mind.

Department as they accept the new Handheld Portable Radar Unit.
Rockwell Officers were presented with a Talon II Handheld Portable Radar unit, to provide speed enforcement in the community. With seat belt usage and obeying the posted speed limit, the numbers and severity of traffic crashes are reduced, so that YOU don't become a statistic!
