Rockwell Planning Board
The planning board for the Town of Rockwell is composed of eleven seats for members.
Five members are residents of the Town and are appointed by the Board of Aldermen of the Town.
Six members are residents of the extraterritorial jurisdictional area (“ETJ”, outside the corporate limits of the Town) and are appointed by the County Board of Commissioners.
There is also an alternate for both ETJ and Town.
The terms of all members appointed by each governing body have overlapping terms of three years.

Duties and Powers
The Rockwell Planning Board will have the following powers and duties to be carried out in accordance with these regulations:
- To review the recommendations and provide a recommendation to the Rockwell Town Board on all subdivisions of land within the authority and jurisdiction of these regulations;
- To recommend and comment on proposed amendments to these regulations to the Town Board;
- To interpret the provisions of these regulations;
- To hear and decide request for rezoning.
