Rockwell Administration Office Location

The Rockwell Town Hall is located at 202 East Main Street (U.S. Hwy. 52).

Regular office business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., unless otherwise posted on our Facebook Page.

Our offices are staffed daily by our Town Clerk and Deputy Clerk.

Brittany Horton

Brittany joined the office in 2025 as a Deputy Clerk, where she quickly demonstrated strong performance and reliability. In recognition of her contributions and growth in the role, she was promoted to Clerk in January 2026 following the retirement of Marlene Dunn, who dedicated 31 years of service to the office.

The clerk’s duties include financial, budget, and personnel matters as well as working directly with the Town Board of Aldermen.

The clerk’s duties include Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable, various tax processes and reservations for all Town locations.  The clerk also provides clerical support to the Town offices, Board of Alderman, Planning Board and Board of Adjustments.

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

Pickups will be every thursday unless Christmas or New Years happens to fall on a Thursday.  Pickup will then be on Saturday.   See Garbage and Recycling in the Public Works section for more details.

Shelters may be reserved by calling 704-279-2180. There is a $25.00 fee for blocks of 4 hours.  The gazebo may be reserved for weddings or special occasions by calling the above listed number.

Reservations are made on a first come / first served basis. Call 704-279-2180 to check for availability. If the date you require is open, it will be penciled in, but will not be reserved until $50.00 is brought in to Town Hall at 202 East Main Street. $25.00 for the rental and $25.00 for the deposit (which is returned when the key is returned).

The Town of Rockwell tax rate is $0.55 per $100 of valuation and Rowan County is  $0.6625 per $100.

The monthly meeting of the Rockwell Board of Aldermen is held the second Monday of the month at 6 pm.  The location is Town Hall, 202 East Main St., Rockwell.
